Who is this course for?

Individuals who wish to get an SIA licence and work in the security industry as a door supervisor or security guard.

Topics covered:

These include the main characteristics of the Private Security Industry, the importance of safe working practices, drug-misuse legislation, issues and procedures relevant to the role of a door supervisor, licensing law, queue management, how to recognise, assess and reduce risk in conflict situations, problem-solving techniques when resolving conflict, physical interventions and the implications of their use and the use non-aggressive physical skills to protect yourself and others.

Assessment method:

Practical assessments in the classroom and multiple-choice examinations taken in the classroom

Requirements:

18yrs and over plus you will need to provide proof of ID and you must have a valid first aid qualification which you can produce before starting the course (must be valid for one year from the course start date).

Once you have passed the Door Supervision course (we have an excellent pass rate) you can apply to the SIA for your door supervisor licence.
